MODEL GUIDE
Converse Chuck 70: should you buy it?
The upgraded Chuck Taylor: heavier canvas, a varnished midsole, thicker laces and OrthoLite cushioning.
1. Buy it if
You want the canvas Chuck look with an OrthoLite insole, as Converse lists for the Chuck 70.
Styling view: you want a canvas shoe for shorts, straight jeans and dresses.
2. Skip it if
You plan to buy your usual size without checking: Converse says it runs large.
Care view: you want something you can wipe clean; canvas soaks up dirt and rain.
3. Fit: what the sources say
Converse US recommends half a size smaller for the Chuck 70 Canvas version checked. Confirm the exact model and India size chart, especially when switching between UK and US labels.
4. Construction and colourway differences
Reference versions: Chuck 70 Canvas 162058C: heavyweight canvas upper, varnished off white midsole and toe cap, OrthoLite insole, thicker laces. The EU page adds taller rubber sides. Materials can change with the colourway and release.
